Joined the company in September 2006 in the sales department as Road Trip Coordinator. After serving as Assistant Manager – Direct Sales & Marketing, was given parental leave after giving birth. (Q) What does your work involve?

(A) I am working in the Marketing Development Department to plan and implement promotions with partner companies to help the organization increase the number of customers. As the manager, my job is to know the progress and in order to accelerate it, collaborate with partner companies and coordinate internally at our Orlando headquarters and Hawaii branch offices. There are many plans which will be tried out for the first time in the company so we will explore and figure out what needs to be done.

(Q) Satisfaction from work

(A) Since the company is in the process of growing, I feel I get a lot satisfaction from tackling new things in my current department. I have been challenging myself in things that have not been challenged before and while struggling to find out the right person to ask for particular things, I feel like I myself am growing at the same time.

(Q) What experiences are you utilizing?

(A) Analysis and forecasts are necessary when making new attempts. The extent to which such analysis is necessary depends on the position but it is something I have been doing every day upon entering the company, so I would like to utilize various experiences that I have gained up until now. In addition, after experiencing both the sales department and marketing department, there are many people who remember my face and name in the company so it is easier for me to communicate with main points of contact in other departments, and, at the same time, it is easier for people to cooperate with me.

(Q) Message to the applicants

(A) The company is in the business of selling “vacations” so I think it is easier for employees to take paid time-off. There are a lot of female team members and when compared with when I joined the company, including myself there has been an increase in the number working mothers and I feel that I work in an environment where this is easily understood and supported by those around me. Customers and sales are important factors when it comes to the company’s growth. However, from the perspective of working, I think the team members that I work with are very important. For me, the best point of working at this company is being able to work together in a manner supported by my team members.
